We are experiencing an eerie noise coming from boat rigging. What is causing this?

We have just purchased a Benenteau 311 and had to have the mast taken down for transportation. The mast has now been re placed and we seem to be experiencing an eerie humming noise, and to be honest it is starting to drive me mad. Could this be down to the rigging being over tight or is there some other way to illiminate?
