Hi everyone. Questions about zoology?
A very good example is the fact that dogs are closely related (descended from) wolves and dogs can be easily trained to simulate how wolves behaved in packs. Wolves pointed to prey (pointers) and wolves retrieved prey from water (retrievers) and wolves set to identify prey (setters) and wolve packs circled prey (border collies - now doing the entire job alone!). Wolves and dogs are social and accept humans into their 'packs' under certain conditions such as bonding with humans when separated from their mother at about seven weeks. Cats are harder to train like dogs because it is not part of their social context. Cats are far more independent (perhaps as large cats were in the wild). Cats can be trained by rewards (treats) or punishment (squirt gun) when they meow in front of the refrigerator door?
