MSG4 story recap?

I am going to get a playstation 3 this week and am planning on purchasing Metal Gear Solid 4. Now i know that there is a ton of story telling involved in these games, but i have never owned a MSG game before. can somebody give me a recap of important events and characters? Thanks a ton!
