Yes, the swelling andher licking is normal. Her season is going to last about another week, so take care not to let any males near her. How long till her next one? Probably about 6 months if you don't get her spayed before then. She'll be much healthier (much less chance of getting cancer) and she won't go through the crying she's doing now.
