Question about the end of Kara no Kyoukai movie 5 (Garden of Sinners)?

Those movies, while very good, tended to confuse me quite a bit xD I think it's one of those "screw with your head" sorts of movies more than it's supposed to make a bunch of sense. That's gonna be my excuse so that I won't have to think too hard about it xD It might be perhaps the fact that he works with magic.
